The Bistro of Oakwood (“the Bistro,” “we,” “us”) runs this website for our restaurant at 2664 Easton St NE, Canton, OH 44721. This policy explains what information the site collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
Information you send us. When you use our event and catering inquiry form, we receive what you type in: your name, email address, phone number, event type, date, guest count, venue, budget range and any notes. If you call or email us, we receive whatever you choose to share.
Information collected automatically. Like almost every website, our hosting provider keeps basic technical logs when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the time of the request. These logs are used to keep the site running and secure.
We don’t use advertising trackers, and we don’t sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
How we use it
- To answer your inquiry, plan your event or catering order, and follow up with you about it.
- To run, secure and improve the website.
- To meet legal obligations, if any apply.
We won’t add you to a marketing list from an inquiry unless you ask us to.
Services that help run the site
We use a few trusted providers, and each only handles your information to provide its service:
- Vercel hosts the website and keeps the technical logs described above.
- Wix stores inquiry-form submissions in our business account, emails us when one arrives, and hosts our menu and dish photos.
- Google Fonts supplies the typefaces on the site, and Google Maps shows our location when you open the map. Google may receive your IP address when these load.
- Links to Facebook and other sites take you to services with their own privacy policies.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry details for as long as we need them to plan and follow up on your event, and for ordinary business records afterward. You can ask us to delete them at any time.
